St. Paul's Mission Hospital CCC is supported by KCCB-ACTS — the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops body responsible for accelerating and transitioning Catholic health facilities towards sustainable, facility-owned HIV care services. This partnership ensures our programme meets national standards and is built to last.
About the CCC
St. Paul's Mission Hospital Comprehensive Care Centre was established to offer holistic care and support to patients infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our multidisciplinary team provides clinical, laboratory, pharmacy, psychosocial, and community support services — all under one roof.
When a patient requires care beyond what we offer — such as advanced HIV management or second-line therapy — we coordinate referrals to MSF Homa Bay, Homa Bay County Teaching & Referral Hospital, or another facility of the patient's choice. We remain involved and follow up throughout.

Antiretroviral drug initiation, treatment of opportunistic infections, and ongoing patient monitoring.
Baseline and monitoring tests including CD4 count, Viral Load, serum CrAg, and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) testing.
Free antiretroviral medicines and treatment for opportunistic infections dispensed on-site through our integrated pharmacy.
Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission and family planning services in our ANC and reproductive health clinics.
Integrated TB screening, isoniazid preventive therapy, and full tuberculosis treatment for HIV-positive patients.
PEP for rape survivors, occupational needle-stick injuries, and accidental exposure to contaminated blood or body fluids.
Dietary guidance and nutritional supplementation to strengthen immunity and improve treatment outcomes.
Individual adherence counselling, mentorship, and ongoing support to help every patient stay successfully on treatment.
Confidential screening and referral support for patients experiencing gender-based or domestic violence.
Coordination with external HIV/AIDS service providers, community follow-up, and linkage to social support networks.
Peer-led Post-Test Clubs and expert patient mentorship — people who have walked this journey helping others do the same.
Data systems for tracking patient outcomes, monitoring treatment success, and informing HIV programme decisions at facility and county level.

You don't have to navigate this journey alone. Our CCC runs five dedicated peer support groups — each tailored to the specific needs and life stage of our patients.
A youth-led movement empowering adolescents living with HIV to achieve zero missed appointments, zero viral load, and zero new infections. OTZ meetings create a safe peer space for teens to share, grow, and support one another.

A caregiver-inclusive support group for children aged 0–9 living with HIV. PAMA Care brings together parents and caregivers to share experiences, receive guidance, and ensure the youngest patients receive consistent, loving care.

A dedicated support space for mothers enrolled in our PMTCT programme. Members receive peer encouragement, infant feeding guidance, and support to stay engaged in care for both themselves and their babies.

For patients who have been on antiretroviral therapy for less than six months, this group provides peer mentorship, early adherence support, and a welcoming space to build confidence in their new treatment journey.

An intensive peer support group for patients with unsuppressed viral load. Working closely with our clinical and adherence counselling teams, the group identifies barriers to treatment success and finds practical solutions together.
